The Project was co-founded by Michael Feldschuh, a Wall Street professional, SoHo resident, and amateur photographer who witnessed the attack and James Austin Murray, an artist who works from a Tribeca studio and is also a New York City Firefighter. Nick Bravin, a former Supreme Court Clerk, is a senior director of the Project. Peter Meyer was the executive director of the project during its tour, and Belinda Lanks was the development director during the tour.

Robert Marano is our technical consultant. The Project includes photos taken by more than 700 amateur and professional photographers from around the globe, ranging in age from 7 to 85. The September 11 Photo Project is a Fiscal Sponsor project of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (www.lmcc.net), a 501(c)(3) organization that provides support for individual artists and arts organizations while fostering public participation in the arts through free events in the performing, visual and new media arts.
